With over 45 gigs in recent years at the likes of Grillentanz festival, Quellrock Openair or
the iconic Grabenhalle in St. Gallen, Paraphon are one of the most exciting new live acts
in Switzerland. The synth-pop duo are slowly playing their way into the minds of listeners,
awakening nostalgic feelings and the desire to dance. Paraphon’s retro sound, created
and performed on various synthesizers, drum machines and an electric guitar, does not
only convince on stage, but also on record: With 3 EPs and 1 album since 2021 they have
kept their listeners busy. Their releases blend striking synthesizer sounds, rhythmic
guitars, straight beats and floating, slightly melancholic vocal melodies.
